Tales & Tea — Free, Every Wednesday at 11:00 AM
Every week brings a brand-new original story, each one built around a different herb and the feeling it can help with. Your child hears the tale, then gets to smell, touch, and taste the very herb from the story — followed by a coloring page and, some weeks, a simple breathing or movement practice to go with it. It's a gentle way to build a real, hands-on vocabulary for big feelings, one herb and one story at a time.
A few recent tales:
- Chamomile — Tilly is hosting a tea party and feels nervous and overwhelmed until chamomile helps her slow her racing thoughts and settle down.
- Lavender — Bumble and the Sleepless Hive: Bumble brews lavender tea to help his restless hive wind down and get ready for bed.
- Mint — Muddle's thoughts are racing in every direction at once, until the smell and taste of mint helps him focus on one thing at a time.
- Coming up: Calendula — Tuck the Mendling learns about repair, making amends, and making things better again.

Apothecary Apprentice Academy — Last Saturday of Every Month at 10:00 AM
Think of this as Tales & Tea's big sibling — a more immersive, hands-on workshop built around three to four herbs woven into one story and one theme. For each herb, apprentices learn what it is, how it works, and how it's best used, paired with a movement, breathing, or affirmation practice that brings the herb's effect to life in the body, not just the story.
Every class includes two take-home projects: a bubbling potion craft that kids mix, bottle, and decorate themselves, plus a rotating apothecary craft tied to that class's theme — past classes have made their own tea blends; a coming rest-themed class will craft a bath bomb or lavender lotion instead. No two classes are quite the same.
Our most recent theme was Steadiness, following Bramble as he got overwhelmed and frustrated and visited the Keeper's garden at the Whimsywood Apothecary, where she introduced him to four herbs that helped him move from big feelings back to calm and enjoyment.
